Haven't used on assignment yet, but used the vent pants and brush shirt for some RX fire and initial attack. Shirt is comfortable,and has plenty of material down low so it'll stay tucked in which is good. The sleeve pockets don't properly fit an IRPG which is ridiculous, and none of the pockets securely hold pens, unlike some other brush shirts with specific pockets for pens. This shirt is more suited for a handcrew member than a section chief or a propeller head for that reason, but if you're punching in line with a hand tool, you can't beat the vents!!

I just got back from a week fire assignment wearing the Coaxsher Vent brush shirt I bought shortly after they came out.   We spent several days getting sandblasted by 40+ mph winds blowing sand and ash at us, and layering our faces and clothing. I actually used a knife to carve dirt off the top of my head one evening as we finished.  But my shirt hardly looked dirty, and after a trip through the wash was bright yellow again. It has some minor stains, but nothing like the others I've worn.  From a health and safety standpoint, washing the contaminants out so easily is a big plus, and I suspect it will lead to longer life for the fabric as well. Even the collar, which was absolutely black, looks almost new with no special treatment. Must be something about the fabric that doesn't hold dirt like Nomex, but it's a great deal. If I could afford them, I'd certainly buy a pair of your pants as well.

I recently purchased your new vent brush shirt to wear for the southern area engine academy class held in Brooksville Florida. I wore the shirt for 5 out of the 7 days of the class. I was impressed with the quality of the shirt along with the ability to open the vents and allow cooler air to flow through the garment. It was definately a great purchase.I look forward to purchasing the pants to go with the shirt as the Florida climate is very hot and humid, and the vent technology makes wearing your PPE much more comfortable.

Just got my shirt from Coaxsher and wore it in the field for a 2-day Boy Scout outing. Shirt was extremely comfortable in 35 degree rainy conditions. The zippers allowed me to properly manage my heat load as I worked during the day. I tell our Boy Scouts all the time...."You sweat...you die." (Thank you Survivorman!). This shirt kept me warm in the cold temps but when I was hiking, I could let off some heat through the arm and chest zippers. Nice Coaxsher. Good kit.
